Almeley Social Club was created as a result of a questionnaire with the Village Plan in 2003/4.
We have a total membership of around 45 men and women, of all ages, who meet monthly for various social events. Numbers at each event vary, as attendance is completely optional.
The events consist of trips out to various places of interest, or meetings held in the village hall with guest speakers. For example, we have visited Gardens, Historical Houses, Concorde at Bristol, Weston's Cider and Acton Scott Farm. Interesting talks have included: Christmas Child and The History of Almeley.
There is also an Annual Dinner, at a chosen venue, and a Christmas party in the village hall.
Membership is free, events being paid for when attended.
Note: Whilst events at the Village Hall (talks etc,) are open to anyone, trips out are normally restricted to those who reside in Almeley Parish only.
