Flicks in the Sticks
Flicks in the Sticks in brought to Almeley by Arts Alive and is the first and biggest film touring scheme in Europe with nearly 600 films a year, and partnering with 80 or more communities.
The pioneering Flicks in the Sticks project uses the latest in digital technology to take films to local venues throughout Shropshire and Herefordshire. By working with local promoters, using existing venues and using low cost technology, Flicks in the Sticks is able to bring BIG screen films, classics and blockbusters, to those who live in rural area and do not normally get the opportunity to see such films.
We have now secured funding from Screen West Midlands for the next two seasons.
The Autumn season will start at the end of September 2010. Details should be out in late August/early September.
All films in Almeley Village Hall. Raffle, bar (or bring your own refreshments). Admission is adults £3.50 and children £2.50
