The Social Club, as a Club, is no longer operating. However, outings organised by the Craft Club and/or The Bell Ringers may well be open to non-members. These will be publicised on the appropriate Web Site etc.

The agenda for the Annual Parish Meeting to be held on Wednesday, 15th May 2013 is on the website.

We are pleased to announce that the major repair project to St Mary’s will begin on Monday 29th April and is expected to last for twenty weeks.

The contractors will try to cause as little disruption as possible, and realise that parking around the church can be tricky. The only time there should be a need for a particularly large vehicle will be at the beginning and end of the project whilst the scaffolding is being unloaded and reloaded.

The hours of work will be 8.a.m. until 5p.m. Monday to Friday inclusive.

If you see any unusual activity outside these hours please call either Elizabth Shayler (01544 340746) or John Hope (01544 340276).

Access to the church may be restricted during this period, but access to the graves should not cause any problems.

We intend to continue Sunday Services as usual during this period unless there is a good reason not to. Please check with the church website : www.stmaryalmeley.org.uk for cup to date details.

Minutes of a meeting of Almeley Parish Council held on 10 April 2013 are now on the website.

There will be an Easter Concert at Eardisley Church on Saturday 23rd March at 6.30pm at which Almeley and Eardisley church choirs(both adults and children) will be performing- about 45 voices!

The programme consists of some Easter music but will end with a performance of 'Jerusalem Joy'a cantata for Easter written for children by Roger Jones.

Admission is free and there will be refreshments.

The concert will last just over an hour and is suitable for children as well as adults.Come and hear the story of Easter as you've never heard it before!
